EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Fanta has passion and energy for community service. As a human rights activists, she believes
in the work she has been up to date. As director, she happens to be one of the founding
members for gender links by creating and building a platform for women and girls in feminist
organizing.
She has worked with Youth Welfare organization as human rights and gender officer for few
years after her bachelor’s degree, in which she create great impact in the lives of adolescent
girls and young people through inspiration and awareness raising in-school and out of school’s
youth’s programs.
During her university days, she was actively engaged in various secondary schools’ sensitization
program designed by their human rights lecturer in teaching human rights and non-violence
campaign which serve as significant tools for young pupils that are influence by pressure
groups. Later continue with her passion to involve in a community volunteering program on
conflict resolutions mechanism, human rights, teenage pregnancy and early marriage
campaign. She later did her youths services with journalists for human rights to gain former
work experience after university.
Which further put her in a unique position by enhancing her skills; she did a post graduate
course on NGO Managements. From various experiences, she is effective in working within a
multi-disciplinary team which has enable her to become a team player in the field of human
rights activism as she is currently executive director for Gender Links Platform Sierra Leone.
